Cinco de Mayo, meaning the “Fifth of May” in Spanish, is a special day to celebrate the bravery and spirit of the Mexican people. On this day in 1862, a small group of soldiers won an incredible victory at the Battle of Puebla. This event has since become a global symbol of strength and heritage.
